2023R-11 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF VERMILION, OHIO TO ENTER INTO A PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT WITH ERIE COUNTY, OHIO, AS THE GRANTEE, TO ADMINISTER AND IMPLEMENT THE PY2023 COMMUNITY HOUSING IMPACT AND PRESERVATION PROGRAM GRANT IF FUNDED BY THE OHIO DEVELOPMENT SERVICES AGENCY, OFFICE OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT (OCD), AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the City of Vermilion wishes to receive PY2023 Community Housing Impact and Preservation Program Grant funds, and.
WHEREAS, the City of Vermilion intends to partner with Erie County, the City of Sandusky, and the City of Huron; and,
WHEREAS, Erie County Commissioners will serve as the Grantee, in applying for the PY2023 Community Housing Impact and Preservation Grant, (CHIP); and,
WHEREAS, to fulfill the Program Guidelines of OCD, a Partnership Agreement must be executed by the participating jurisdictions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the Council of the City of Vermilion, State of Ohio:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the Partnership Agreement with Erie County, as the Grantee, and being responsible for administering and implementing the PY2023 CHIP, if funded, as attached hereto, and incorporated herein.
SECTION 2. That, this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the mayor, and the necessity is for the submission of the grant deadline providing that it meets the statutory requirements for passage; otherwise, it shall take effect and be enforced from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
