2024R-8 A RESOLUTION AGREEING TO COOPERATE FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING PICNIC TABLES AT THE VERMILION COMMUNITY POOL UNDER THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE “2024 LOCAL PARK CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT GRANT” AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the Vermilion City Council of the City of Vermilion, Ohio desires to utilize funding available through the 2024 Erie MetroParks Local Park Capital Improvement Grant Program, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the Council of the City of Vermilion, State of Ohio:
SECTION 1: That the Vermilion City Council agrees to cooperate for the purposes of increasing and improving outdoor recreation opportunities under the terms and conditions of the “2024 Local Park Capital Improvement Grant Program” administered by the Erie MetroParks Board of Park Commissioners.
SECTION 2: Marc Weisenberger, Parks Operation Director is hereby authorized to apply to the Erie MetroParks Board of Park Commissioners for funding assistance from the “2024 Local Park Capital Improvement Grant Program”.
SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, the emergency being the necessity of meeting the deadline of the Erie MetroParks Local Park Capital Improvement Grant Program application submittal to the Erie MetroParks on or before April 19, 2024, thus for the public peace, health, and safety of the City; wherefore, this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval of the Mayor, providing it meets the statutory requirements for passage; otherwise, it shall take effect and be enforced from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
